Cindy was born in Texas, her daddy was a preacher of a little country church. She was blessed with his sense of humor, the only girl of three brothers who would hold her down, put bologna on her face and let the dog lick it off. (And it did take all three of them to do so.) She learned early on to be easy going and not take life too seriously. Cindy was singing by the time she could talk and began piano lessons when she was six years old. Married to Kirk, two sons, a daughter in law and recently a little granddaughter, who she hopes to have sing with her by the time she is three. Influenced by Amy Carmichael and missionaries that would visit their church and share their testimonies, God stirred a desire in her early childhood to become a missionary. Cindy’s gift is music but people are her passion. With an evangelistic heart, she collects friends and doesn’t meet a stranger. Cindy does not consider herself a performer, but a musician-ary ministering to discouraged hearts. Cindy has been writing and ministering for over 20 years, ministering the simple truths of the gospel through music to the real life Christian where the rubber meets the road in the daily grind of life by illustrating, through music, every believer’s new Identity as a Child Of God. One of her favorite verses is; II Corinthians 1: 3&4— ”God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our afflictions so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” Cindy believes; In the One and only God of the universe expressed in the trinity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the unity of all believers into the fellowship of the body of Christ, that salvation is available to all men through faith alone in Christ Jesus and Jesus is the Way and every other way is not the way. John 14:6 Jesus said; “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life and no man cometh unto the Father but by Me.” |
